Kenneth Drive

Town of Henrietta, New York

This signal design project began with the installation and dedication of Kenneth Drive to the Town of Henrietta. Kenneth Drive intersects Lehigh Station Road (Route 253) that is owned by NYSDOT. The first phase of construction of Kenneth Drive involved installation of all underground conduit and pullboxes for if and when the installation of a traffic signal was approved by NYSDOT. Once the development progressed far enough, a follow up traffic study was performed and NYSDOT determined that a traffic signal was warranted. The second phase of construction entailed preparation of final signal design plans for the traffic signal at the Kenneth Drive / Lehigh Station Road intersection by utilizing the previously installed conduit and pullboxes. The project also involved the interconnection with the adjacent I-390 interchange traffic signal controllers.
