SRF & Associates directed all traffic studies and prepared the traffic-related sections of a three-part Project Initiation Report for this 3.6 km reconstruction project. The study provided a Needs Assessment, an Alternative Analysis, Recommendation, and Cost Estimate. The study included the following: complete safety analysis, including accident history; identification of existing traffic conditions; traffic growth analysis and projections; systemic capacity analysis including isolated intersections and roadway segments; inventory of existing traffic signal systems, pavement markings and signing, and descriptions of existing operations; data collection, including geometrics, turning movement counts and delay information; projection and assessment of the effects of a new connector road on the existing corridor operations.
