Dewey Avenue Corridor/Traffic Calming Study Town of Greece and City of Rochester , Monroe County, New York The purpose of this study is to reduce the adverse impacts of vehicular traffic on pedestrian circulation within the Dewy Avenue corridor. Dewey Avenue services significant pockets retail land uses as well as single family residential homes fronting directly on the roadway. This study includes a detailed inventory and analysis of the existing vehicular traffic operating conditions, pedestrian realm quality and safety, pedestrian crossing opportunities and safety, as well as bicycle and transit accommodations and parking conditions. Specific objectives include the assessment of future growth conditions and corridor needs and to evaluate opportunities for design and regulatory changes to improve safety and multi-modal access.
