SRF & Associates prepared a transportation impact study for the construction of a new campus athletics and events center. It features a field house with an indoor track, 1500 bleacher seats, locker rooms, a sports medicine training center, a rowing center, administrative offices, as well as an outdoor turf and track . The center will also be used for special events such as an indoor site for convocation during inclement weather. Various traffic calming features were recommended to improve the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists while enhancing the livability and attractiveness of the campus. Strategies for traffic control during special events were discussed. The potential for a new roundabout at one of the entrances to the campus was also evaluated.
