Marshall Street Conversion Syracuse, NY SRF & Associates prepared a traffic circulation and impact study related to reversal of a one-way street in the densely developed and high pedestrian activity center of the University Hill area of Syracuse, NY. The intent of the reversal was to improve the vitality of the street by incorporating streetscape, landscape, parking, pedestrian, and access enhancements. The related responsibilities included organization of data collection, analysis of existing and future traffic conditions, and preparation of a technical letter addressing the impacts and any recommended mitigation measures. The project involved analyzing an urbanized network of one-way and two-way streets and intersections to determine the impact of the traffic changes on the operations, parking, and safety for all users.
