Rt 96 Corridor Study

Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York

SRF & Associates provided complete transportation planning and traffic engineering services for the Route 96 Corridor Study that spanned the Towns of Ulysses and Ithaca, the City of Ithaca, and Tompkins County in New York State. An integrated transportation and community design approach was applied to this scenic corridor to insure that future land use and transportation improvements are in harmony with the natural and built environments. TRANSCAD modeling enhancements and multi-modal assessments were used to evaluate the impacts from the existing conventional linear development pattern versus a nodal pattern of development in the future. The study process resulted in land use and transportation recommendations for a future nodal development pattern.
