Rehabilitation of Swetman and Poucher Halls and Surge Space

SRF & Associates prepared a traffic impact study related to the rehabilitation of two residence halls and construction of a new campus center. The campus center will house a convocation center, bookstore, food court, and other student amenities. Additionally, a complete parking study was conducted that analyzed existing usage and future impacts. Recommendations were made for optimizing existing parking, improving the safety of the campus environment for pedestrians and bicyclists, and enhancing the livability and attractiveness of the campus. Various landscaping and traffic calming improvements were recommended. Strategies for traffic control during special events were also discussed.
