Village of Perry's Main Street District Revitalization Plan

Village of Perry, Wyoming County, New York

The Village of Perry and the SRF Team were selected by the Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) for the Circulation, Accessibility, and Parking (CAP) Study Project. The purpose of this study was to develop a plan to enhance the economic vitality and overall livability of the Village of Perry’s Main Street District.

This was achieved through the identification of transportation, land use, and urban design techniques, strategies and designs to the public realm that enhanced community character and strengthened the sense of place, while advancing traffic circulation, accessibility, and parking for all transportation system users. Particular emphasis was placed on improving the safety and travel for pedestrians and bicyclists. Alternative Main Street plans were developed and a recommended plan was selected that satisfied stakeholder interests and objectives.
