Port of Rochester Parking Study

Charlotte, Rochester, New York

SRF conducted an area-wide parking study in the revitalized urban village of Charlotte, or more recently know as the Port of Rochester, within the City limits. Methodologies included an occupancy study, an origin-destination study, and a land use analysis used to determine future trip generation for the various proposed land uses in the Port of Rochester commercial district. Existing capacity was determined and estimations of future capacities were made including recommendations for an area-wide parking system including 10 surface lots, including both short-term and long-term parking to accommodate ferry traffic, and 6 on-street parking zones.
